Swipeauctions.com No Receipt No Refund

swipeacutions.com was in my e-mail so I answered it. Boy how dumb. I filled out the registration because I wanted to learn how to bid. How confusing that was. I got charged $159 like BAM! and requested in their chat service provided to reverse the charges. Chat room said directions were clear and simple. Bet me. I now have to fill out a refund request on a form they provided and send it in via mail then follow up in 15 days with their chat room. I never received a receipt which has the order number for refund. Now What.

I got taken on 9-21-2010. I still havn't gotten my money back nor can I find anyone to answer my question.

I did get the send for the refund forms and then the you'll get your money in ten days talk. It now 11-10-2010 and none of what they said has come true for me.

this people should be sent to jail fast. (SwipeAution )

i am not going to give up..someone has to do something about this site..we all need to go to BBB site and file complaints with FTC,Internet crime dept of the FBI,Competition Bureau,Service Alberta..etc..i got taken for $179..

also if you look at the page where we entered our cc info...now it says "by continuing you agree to be charged $159 for 300 bids..so they are changing their site to make it impossible to get a refund..

now when our banks look at the site they are gonna see that and say "it tells you youre gonna be charged" but they dont know that was just added on 11-3-10 after 5pm..

hey anonymous and everybody

the reason why you dont have a receipt..is because no receipt is given for the membership...

if you read the form carefully that they are telling everybody to fill out and send in..it is only for purchased items or items you bidded on..and therefore you would have a receipt..

the only reason they are telling us to fill out from and send in and call ib 28days..is to get you off the phone and not be bothered or hear from you again for 28days..

there wording is verygood..in the terms and conditions it also says we cant sue them...

Carol: Is there anything further I can assist you with today?

you: No regards other than the fact of concern and interest. You seem like a very calm, respectable customer service representative and it is a shame that you work for a company that treats their customers horribly and not a company that you could be of good service to customers who are appreciated.

Carol: Thank you very much for chatting with us today. We hope the rest of your day is an excellent one.

Carol: Please feel free to come back for any further assistance.

you: I would like to thank you for your time and hope that you will some day find a better company to work for! Have a great day Carol!

I cancelled my credit card and was told by the FRAUD DEPT to NOT provide any more personal information to the vendor (i.e. scam artist).

I feel dumb too, but the link came through a family email. :(

Swipeauction is A BIG F*ING FRAUD!!! 5 minuites is all it takes for them to raid your account!

swipe auctions.com is nothing but a big scam! I was only on line with this site for 10 minuites but enough time for them to raid my account! If I did not call my credit card company immediately upon discovering this, I am certain they would have taken all the money they could. Wells Fargo thinks this is a legitimite site! They claim that that there was some warning or waiver for this immense fraud but I do not buy it! Do not even think of opening a link for this site. This site will suck you dry! WARNING!

I too was looking for a one time item, a new cell-phone, The site I was on, had a link to another site,{yes, you guessed it Swipe} I did all to sign up, not knowing I was signing up for a membership fee of $159.00, the minute I realized that I opened the box to get a refund,My agent's name was Nick, He tried to talk me into staying with half of my money back, and 300 extra bids, I kept saying no thank you ,it went up to a 1,000 bids and that is when I got really mad..I said I will contact my bank, the BBB, and anyone else I could think of to get my $$$$ back, He said no please don't do that you will see a refund in 5-10 days,That was on Thursday, I called my bank Wells Fargo, Short of Cancelling out my credit card, the Bank was no help, Fortunely I got a refund by that Monday.. I was lucky, Please stay away from this site, A total rip-off

This same scam hit me too.

SwipeAuctions is a total fraud completly setup to make you think you are signing up for a free memebership.

The credit card info is asked for with the note that it will only be used IF YOU SHOULD BUY SOMETHING. Just prior to bidding a little note pops up over the bid button to say you will be charged. I only know this from reading other reports, however big that note is I certainly did not see it.

They say they notify you FIVE times before charging, they must be a huge fan of the Where's Waldo cartoons then cause I freaking well didn't see it and I certainly can't afford $159 just to look over a website.

Here's another little bonus. Their return policy requires you to fill out a five page form and send in a photocopy of a government issued ID! Yet they claim this if for your PROTECTION. I would hate to see what they would do once they have a little more of your identification on file.

This company is no better than those people who make up scams about dying children or single mothers with cancer seeking your donations, NO MORAL WHAT-SO-EVER.

STAY AWAY FROM SWIPEAUCTIONS (AKA SWIPEBIDS) AND ALWAYS DO A WEBSEARCH ON COMPANIES BEFORE CONSIDERING PASSING OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!!

The fact that you didn't look at the entire page you were taken to says something about your online practices...

I will admit that the page you input your credit card info is intentionally laid out to be misleading (the purchase price information is in a separate box so your eyes don't automatically look outside of the input area you're dealing with).

But that said, when do you EVER give some one your credit card information if you're not making a purchase?

Open your eyes & stop trusting that everyone else has your best interest at heart. It's business.

It's a very clear "pay to play" auction site unlike eBay where you only pay if you win.

You paid, now go play. (& hopefully you can win something saving the month you paid to play. If not, it was a very expensive "Claw game" like those you play at an arcade... You're not guaranteed to win just because you put your money in there...)
